Arnica is in the same family as sunflowers and daisies.
Harvesting
The aerial parts of the plant (particularly the flowers) are used for the medicinal benefits of the plant. The flowers are usually best to harvest during their peak bloom time in the summer.
Typical Dosages
There is no recommended standard dosage. Internal use is not recommended with the dried flower that has not been processed, as it still contains the active toxin. Topical use has no known dosage.
Most use has been studied on adults, it has not been heavily studied to be used on children.
